Following the traveller incursion the team have gone above and beyond and the Recreation Ground has received a much-needed deep clean removing both animal and human waste, clearing rubbish, and ensuring the area is clean and welcoming for everyone in our community.
In addition, the council has partnered with local business TTSR to install large concrete LEGO-style blocks by the gates to help prevent unauthorised vehicle access. These blocks are designed to be removable for events and will help protect the space for public use.
To brighten up the area and involve our local young people, we will be working with youth groups to decorate the blocks and transform them into a creative, eye-catching feature for the park.
