Thank you for your patience in the opening of the public toilets which are now fully operational.
Due to the increase in vandalism, and the cost of repairs from the public purse, Councillors decided in June 2023 to control access by installing a coin and contactless 20p entry fee. This decision was taken after discussions and recommendations with other district and town councils in the UK. The revenue received will be invested in the upkeep and future upgrades of the public toilets.
Both toilets are accessible and so are equal to all, they are also available 24 hours a day. The toilets are cleaned and monitored on a daily basis.
The delay in the installation of the doors, and the installation issues that have occurred, are due to supplier problems and were out of the Town Councils control.
Just a reminder that all council meetings are open to the public and there is time on the agenda for members of the public to address the Town Council. If you are unable to attend in person the meetings are live streamed and the links can be found on the Town Council website where there is also a calendar of meetings.
