A47 Swaffham westbound entry and exit slip roads - essential resurfacing
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out essential resurfacing on the A47 westbound entry and exit slip road. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a better-defined road, a smoother road surface.
We plan to complete this work over one night on Saturday 19 July 2025. We will work between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A47 westbound entry and exit slip road, and divert traffic as follows:
- Traffic wishing to use the entry slip road, will need to head eastbound on the A47 to Norwich Road Roundabout, take the 4th exit and return on the A47 westbound.
- Traffic wishing to use the exit slip road, will need to continue westbound on the A47 to the A1122 Roundabout, take the 4th exit and head eastbound on the A47 to the A1065 Interchange.
