Yesterday evening, Swaffham had the great pleasure of welcoming Revd. Neil Vels to the Central Norfolk Circuit at Swaffham Methodist Church.
Revd. Vels previously served as Superintendent of the Cape West Coast Circuit in South Africa and ministered at the Milnerton and Brooklyn Methodist Churches before moving to Norfolk with his wife, Lynn, and their son, Alex.
During the evening, young Alex showed a particular interest in my chains of office, fascinated by its history and the names engraved on each link. Who knows – perhaps we have a future Mayor of Swaffham in the making!
On behalf of the town, I extend a very warm welcome to Neil, Lynn, and Alex, and wish them every happiness as they begin this new chapter in Norfolk.
