Four talented young entrepreneurs showcased their businesses at Swaffham Market on Saturday as part of the 2026 Young Trader Market, giving visitors the opportunity to support the next generation of local business owners.
The Young Trader initiative encourages young people to develop valuable business skills, gain experience in customer service and marketing, and build confidence by trading in a real market environment.
This year’s young traders were:
Cakebread Delight – offering a delicious selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats.
Earth Panda – showcasing environmentally conscious and sustainable products.
First Sip – serving a range of refreshing drinks and beverages.
Handmade Galore – displaying a variety of unique handmade gifts and crafts.
The standard of all four businesses was incredibly high, with each young trader demonstrating enthusiasm, creativity and professionalism throughout the day.
We are delighted to announce that Earth Panda was named the winner of the Swaffham Young Trader Market 2026.
The Mayor of Swaffham, Cllr Graham Eves, was highly impressed by Aurora’s ambition, dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. During the judging, Aurora explained that she designed the Earth Panda logo when she was just five years old and continues to use it proudly on her eye-catching range of products today – a wonderful example of her creativity and commitment to building her brand.
Congratulations to Aurora and Earth Panda on this fantastic achievement, and well done to all of the young traders who took part. Their passion, hard work and innovation made the event a great success, and we look forward to seeing how their businesses continue to grow in the future.
A big thank you also goes to everyone who visited the market and supported these inspiring young entrepreneurs. Your encouragement plays an important role in helping young people take their first steps into business.
