Holmwood House in Swaffham is inviting the local community to come together for a fun-filled Summer Fete on Saturday 18 July, promising an afternoon of entertainment, activities and fundraising.
Taking place from 1pm to 4.30pm at Holmwood House, 40 White Cross Road, the event is set to be a vibrant celebration for all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy. Entry is free, and families, friends and visitors are warmly welcomed.
Visitors can look forward to a wide range of attractions, including fun stalls, games and activities, local crafts, a tombola and raffle, and plenty of food and refreshments. Highlights of the day include appearances from a fire truck, donkeys, a live singer (Chris Wilson), and an ice cream van, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
A special feature of the fete will be the Holmwood House Dog Show, starting at 2.30pm, raising funds for the charity PAT Dogs. The show will include a variety of light-hearted categories such as Waggiest Tail, Best Trick, Best Rescue, and Dog Most Like Owner, with entry priced at £2 per class or three classes for £5. All dogs are welcome to take part.
The fete also provides an opportunity for local businesses, stall holders and charities to get involved, showcase their work, raise funds and connect with the community. Organisers hope the event will help strengthen local connections while supporting community causes.
With plenty of parking available on site and disabled access in place, the event aims to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
A spokesperson from Holmwood House said they are looking forward to welcoming visitors for what promises to be “a fantastic day of fun, community and celebration.”
