Swaffham Town Council has announced a vacancy for the position of Town Councillor following the resignation of Councillor Caroline Ellerbeck.
Under local government regulations, electors registered in Swaffham have the opportunity to request that the vacancy be filled through a by-election. If ten electors submit a written request to the Returning Officer within 14 days of the notice dated 8 September 2026, a formal election will be held.
If no such request is received within the required period, Swaffham Town Council will fill the vacancy by co-option as soon as practicable.
