I’m writing to tell you that we plan to carry out a full road closure of the A47 for essential resurfacing on the A47 eastbound and westbound between Pullover Roundabout and Hardwick Roundabout Kings Lynn. Once complete, drivers and residents will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.
We plan to complete this work overnight starting on Sunday 1 February 2026. We will be working between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to apply for a full closure on the A47 eastbound Kings Lynn between Pullover Roundabout and Saddlebow Interchange and divert traffic as follows:
Eastbound diversion:
· Drivers should head westbound on the A47 to Wisbech and turn left onto the A1101
· Continue on the A1101 through Outwell, then turn right onto the A1122 towards Downham Market
· At Downham Market, turn left onto the A10 northbound and follow it to King’s Lynn
· At Hardwick roundabout, rejoin the A47 eastbound
Westbound traffic will follow the above in reverse.
