Veterans and their families across the Swaffham area are being encouraged to get involved in a series of welcoming community events hosted by Veterans Central throughout 2026.
The organisation’s Swaffham drop-in sessions, held on the fourth Tuesday of every month, continue to grow in popularity, offering a relaxed and friendly environment for veterans to meet, chat and access support.
Taking place at The Regency Room, Swaffham Assembly Rooms (10:30am–1:00pm), the sessions provide free refreshments, including hot drinks and cakes, alongside the opportunity to connect with fellow veterans and learn more about available services.

Partners and carers are warmly welcomed, and attendees are encouraged to spread the word to other veterans who may benefit from the support and camaraderie on offer.
Alongside these regular sessions, Veterans Central will be hosting its Annual Activities and Open Day on Sunday 19 July 2026 at its base at RAF West Raynham (NR21 7PL).
This free event offers a unique opportunity to explore the historic Grade II listed Station Headquarters building, including extended access to areas not normally open to the public, as well as its three acres of gardens.
Visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions, including:
Military displays and aircraft cockpits
Flypasts and ground demonstrations
A children’s activity area and cockpit simulator
Craft and trade stalls
A large book sale with over 2,000 new books
A tombola featuring more than 300 prizes
Food and drink will be available through the on-site café and hog roast, with visitors also welcome to bring a picnic and make the most of the gardens.
The Open Day runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm, and like the drop-in sessions, reflects Veterans Central’s ongoing commitment to supporting wellbeing, social connection and engagement for veterans, serving personnel and their families.
